Action must be taken against Nga Kor Ming
Wednesday, November 30, 2011KUALA LUMPUR: Disciplinary action must be instituted against Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming for his racial slur and insulting remarks against Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir recently, says Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim.
The DAP national vice chairman said the disciplinary committee must take the case seriously and act on it immediatelylet the case slip away.
“Disciplinary action must be taken. DAP is not a racial-based party, but obviously there are people in the party who think otherwise. Actions must be taken to show that the view does not represent the view of the party,” Tunku Abdul Aziz (pic) said when contacted by The Mole.
"The remarks were not only hurtful, but also uncalled for and it did not make any sense in a multi-racial party like DAP," he added.
The most senior Malay DAP leader who joined the party in August 2008 was also firm in his stand that Nga should apologise for his crude remarks.
A Perak DAP leader also condemned Nga’s remarks as childish and insensitive while stating that such behaviour was not something new for Nga.
The leader, who is also a Member of Parliament, said this was not the first time the DAP MP for Taiping had made racial remarks and displayed such offensive behaviour.
“He should have known racial undertones were never acceptable in Malaysia. It is silly for him to be doing that. I believe they (the party discplinary committee) are doing something,” he said when asked about possible action against Nga.
Nga, during a political talk (ceramah) in Kamunting had reportedly said Perak has a Menteri Besar “yang hitam metalik, yang haram jadah itu, masuk dari pintu belakang,” abviously referring to Zambry.
A short video clip of the insulting speech was posted in several blogs including Rocky’s Bru.
Meanwhile DAP deputy chairman and Kepong MP Dr Tan Seng Giaw said that the allegations against Nga must be proven before any action could be considered.
“An allegation must be proven,” he said in an sms reply when queried about action against the Perak DAP leader.
Blog StopTheLies, in a latest posting today, stated “This is not the first time that Nga has displayed his arrogance and we know this would not be the last time.
Recently, he challenged the Chinese community not to bother inviting DAP leaders to dinners hosted by associations and guilds."
