ARE MALAYSIANS READY ?

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's move to scrap the I.S.A has been greeted with great excitement by Malaysian netizens. It has also stunned some of the most vocal politicians into silence. While Twitter was jammed up with seemingly endless conversation, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's blog was still quiet well after midnight. So was DAP strongman Lim Kit Siang's blog. Lawyer and political activist Art Harun may have spoken for these politicians when he tweeted, "I am a rebel without a cause. I must find a new cause to champion, looks like."

Prominent blogger A Voice, a big critic of the Prime Minister, said "Ready or not, Malaysians must rise to this newfound freedom' that has come their way on this Malaysia Day.
