Malindo Air is also introducing daily flights between Johor Baru-Kota Kinabalu-Johor Baru beginning October 10, 2013.
KUALA LUMPUR: Malindo Air, Malaysia's hybrid airline, is offering 10,000 free seats one-way in conjunction with Malaysia Day.
The free seats are available for flights departing from KL to Penang, Johor Baru, Langkawi; JB to Kota Kinabalu and KL to Jakarta and Bali.
"Our customers need to pay only airport tax and fees of RM39 one-way to all domestic destinations and RM75 one-way to Jakarta and Bali," it said in a statement Thursday.
Bookings are available from September 13 to 22 for travel periods from now to November 30, 2013.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy said the airline was proud to play a part in this year's Malaysia Day celebration by contributing the free seats.
"We are also introducing our new daily flights from JB to Kota Kinabalu and vice-versa, which will commence from Oct 10," he said in the statement.
He said the frequent flights between JB and Kota Kinabalu would provide convenient travel for business and tourism passengers from both Malaysia and Singapore.
For the new flight from JB to Kota Kinabalu, Malindo Air is introducing competitive fares, starting from RM99 one-way all-inclusive for economy class and RM499 for business class.
