KATHMANDU: An aircraft taking tourists on a trip around Mount Everest crashed into a hillside near here Sunday, killing 19 people including two Americans and one Japanese.
The Buddha Air Beechcraft plane, also carrying 10 Indian passengers, three locals and three Nepali crew, came down in heavy rain and fog at Godavari, around 10 kilometres from here. All on board were killed.
Police spokesman Binod Singh confirmed that the previously unidentified foreigners were two Americans and a Japanese. No further details were immediately available. - AFP
