Has Nga stretched the boundaries of decency?
KUALA LUMPUR: A less than a minute video clip capturing Nga Kor Ming, the DAP's national assistant treasurer and MP for Taiping, at a ceramah, has become a hot topic in the blogosphere in which he is caught uttering racial slurs and making uncouth remarks.
In the clip, Nga who is also a Perak assemblyman for Perak, was delivering his speech in Bahasa Melayu, was heard describing the Mentri Besar as "hitam metalik (metallic black)" believed to be referring to the Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Zamby Abdul Kadir who is dark-skinned.
He was also captured using the word haram jadah (loosely translated to mean a bastard) in obvious reference of Zambry.
In the undated video clip, Nga in his ceramah was making comparison between Penang and Perak, both states won by the opposition in the 2008 general election.
However, Barisan Nasional regained Perak in February 2009 when several of the opposition assemblymen abandoned the Pakatan Rakyat leaving it without the necessary majority to rule the state.
Datuk Ahirudin Attan in his blog Rocky's Bru also commented on the video clip.
Among others, he said there had been too much racial and religious slurs already.
Rocky said Nga shouldn't wait too long to apologise publicly to all dark-skinned Malaysians.
